The Department of Psychology invites candidates to apply for a part-time (9-month), tenure-track faculty position beginning July 1, 2025. The psychology program is housed in the School of Natural and Social Sciences on our park-like campus in Rochester, New York, providing the program with the advantages of a suburban setting within a vibrant metropolitan area.

Our Psychology Department supports a strong undergraduate program, an accredited master’s program in school psychology, and an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical/school psychology. In September 2020 we launched an on-campus training clinic (Westside Psychological Services) that services both our training endeavors and the surrounding community's need for psychological services. Qualifications:
Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in an area of psychology and a commitment toward excellence in teaching and scholarship. Previous academic teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is preferred. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate multicultural competence and value the principles of diversity and equity. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the integration of Christian faith and professional practice and a willingness to support the University’s Christian mission and identity.
Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities would include teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate level depending on course preference and areas of expertise. Additional responsibilities include dissertation supervision and committee support, advising, opportunities for campus involvement, and ongoing department collaboration in support of new program design and student retention efforts. While the primary focus for faculty is teaching, effective faculty performance will also include service, profession-related activity, and scholarship. Additionally, hired faculty will be afforded the opportunity for professional practice in our recently launched community clinic.
